Speaker: Johnna Reeder, President & CEO of the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Cincinnati

Our presenter will be Johnna Reeder is President & CEO of the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Cincinnati. She was named to her current position in April 2014. Joanna will discuss how REDI Cincinnati, works together with economic development professionals, to provide a unified response to the business growth needs of companies as well as serves as a connector to financial and regulatory resources for new and emerging businesses.

Johnna was previously the Vice President of Community Relations and Economic Development for Duke Energy, Ohio and Kentucky. She was part of the Duke Energy Economic Development team named the Top Utility for Economic Development from Site Selection Magazine for over a decade. Prior to joining Duke Energy, Johnna led community relations, government affairs and foundation giving for Citigroup Inc. in their operating states of Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.

Before relocating to Greater Cincinnati in 2000, Johnna directed a chamber of commerce and downtown development corporation in Tennessee, both receiving state and national awards and accolades.

Reeder is active in community and service organizations, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame, Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce, Foreign Trade Zone, Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation, United Way of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, University of Cincinnati Research Institute and is a member of the Cincinnati Women’s Executive Network.

Reeder has received numerous recognitions such as a Woman Worthy of Note by the Kentucky Lane Report magazine, a Top 20 Woman to Watch recipient by the Cincinnati Enquirer, a Next Generation Leader Award from Legacy, and an Outstanding Woman of Northern Kentucky. Some of her other honors include the Cincinnati Business Courier’s 40 Under 40 Award and the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati’s Rising Star Award.
