Luncheon Meeting – March 15, 2016

Topic: Prevention Partners: How Businesses Can (and Do) Prevent Substance Abuse

Your business can be affected in many ways by drug and alcohol abuse. You may lose productivity because employees are battling addiction, you may lose customers if a neighborhood is perceived to be unsafe, or you may lose merchandise from drug-related thefts.

But your business can also be a key part of an effective drug abuse prevention strategy. In fact, whether or not you realize it, you may already be engaged in work that promotes prevention.

By attending the March 15 luncheon, you will learn how communities are mobilizing to prevent drug and alcohol abuse, particularly among youth, and see why businesses have a major role in this effort.

Our presenter, Angela Pancella, Executive Director, Woven Oak Initiatives and a member of the Norwood Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Coalition will show us how businesses of all types and descriptions can become Prevention Partners. You will come away from this presentation better informed about drug and alcohol abuse, and better equipped to work for a drug-free community.
